Barcelona Precincts is a coffee table book of visit-worthy places in the city. Written and photographed by my friend Ben Holbrook who writes about Barcelona and travel in general on his blog: Driftwood Journals. (Published by Hardie Grant)
The city is cleverly divided in its barrios. Gràcia, Poblenou. Eixample divided into right and left. Then each section begins with a map and the recommended locations marked prominently on it. There are shops, restaurants and cocktail bars to choose from. Each with relevant information and Ben’s easy prose on what makes it special. Barcelona Precincts does a good job of giving a snapshot of each neighborhood.
There are guest sections where Ben asks Barcelona locals or people who have adopted the city what their favorite places are.
A lovely book. For the photographs. For places, I didn’t even know about. For stories about Barcelona. For anyone who loves Barcelona.

Well
Just received the book, and in the last pages, the author gives us some “hints” in language (both Eng and Catalan) and here i was just gobsmacked : Hadios… to say good bye.
I always thought that this was written Adios…
